World Religion Day is devoted to proclaiming the oneness of religion and the belief that world religion will unify the peoples of the earth. The purpose of World Religion Day is to call attention to the harmony which exists among the spiritual principles of the world’s religions and to emphasize that religion has always been the source of unity.
The Bahá'í sponsored observance was established in 1950 by the Bahá'ís of the United States.
On Sunday, January 19th, Bahá'ís and friends of the Faith from all backgrounds will commemorate this special occasion with prayers and readigns from the world's religion. This is day is the celebration and fostering of fellowship with friends, family and neighbors of all backgrounds.
